Teaching Philosophy
As a horn and brass teacher, my role is to involve you in the learning process. Together, we will work to identify what musical goals are most important to you as you continue to progress on your instrument. Any goal that is important to you is a path worth pursuing. My job is to help you create a plan, to achieve milestones, and to have a fun experience!

I have worked with students from a wide variety of skill levels and backgrounds. Here are a few sample paths that you can take through studying with me.
-
I am preparing for All State Orchestra auditions and Solo and Ensemble competitions.
-
I am looking to apply to college, and I would like my experiences on horn to be an integral part of my resume.
-
I love marching band, and I would like to earn a mellophone solo in my school’s show next year.
-
I am an adult amateur looking to play the horn as a hobby.

I am now enrolling new private students for the 22-23 academic school year for In-person (southeastern Wisconsin area) and Zoom lessons (all regions).
Please send me a message and we can set up a free introductory lesson!
